Who We Are

Lineup11 is a free football lineup builder run by an independent developer based in the Netherlands, who is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at [email protected]. Our supervisory authority is the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

What We Collect

Depending on how you use Lineup11, we process:

• Account data: when you sign in with Google, your name, email address, profile picture, Google account identifier and the sign-in tokens Google issues.
• Session and security data: a sign-in session cookie, plus the IP address and browser user agent recorded when you sign in.
• Lineups you save: team and player names, shirt numbers, formations, colours and other settings, plus how often a shared lineup has been viewed.
• Feedback you send while signed in.
• Contact form messages: your email address and the message you write.
• Usage data via Google Analytics, only with your consent: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and a pseudonymous identifier.
• Advertising data via Google AdSense: cookies or device identifiers and your IP address. Ads are personalised only with your consent.
• An ad blocker check: your browser tests whether ad resources can load. The result stays in your browser and is not stored by us.

Why We Use It (Legal Bases)

• To provide the service you ask for, such as signing you in and saving, showing and sharing your lineups (performance of a contract).
• To keep the site secure, prevent abuse, answer your messages and feedback, and keep the free service funded by ads (legitimate interests).
• To measure usage with Google Analytics and to show personalised ads (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
• To comply with legal obligations where they apply.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use the following categories:

• Essential: sign-in session cookies and a cookie that stores your cookie choice (l11_consent). They are needed for the site to work and do not require consent.
• Preferences: a cookie that remembers your light or dark theme.
• Analytics: Google Analytics cookies (such as _ga), set only if you accept.
• Advertising: Google AdSense and Google consent cookies (such as __gads, __gpi and FCCDCF). Without your consent, Google may still show non-personalised ads.

Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google's certified consent message; other visitors see our own banner. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer or the button below.

Service Providers

We rely on these providers, who process data on our behalf or as independent controllers:

• Google: sign-in, Google Analytics and Google AdSense (privacy policy)
• Neon: database hosting for accounts, sessions, lineups and feedback (privacy policy)
• Cloudflare: hosting, content delivery and security, including processing of IP addresses (privacy policy)
• Formspree: delivery of contact form messages (privacy policy)

How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services

International Transfers

Some providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, these transfers rely on adequacy decisions such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on Standard Contractual Clauses.

How Long We Keep Data

• Account data, saved lineups and feedback: until you delete your account.
• Sign-in sessions: they expire automatically, at the latest 7 days after your last visit.
• Contact messages: as long as needed to handle your request.
• Analytics data: according to our Google Analytics retention setting, at most 14 months.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Anyone with the link to a lineup you share can view it. We only disclose data to the providers listed above, or when the law requires it. Site administrators can access account data to provide support, investigate abuse or enforce our terms.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR or Turkey's KVKK), you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you
• correct inaccurate data
• have your data deleted, including by deleting your account on the account page
• restrict or object to certain processing
• receive your data in a portable format
• withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing

Children

Lineup11 is not directed at children under 13. You must be at least 13 to create an account, or older if the law in your country requires it. Users under the age of digital consent in their country need permission from a parent or guardian.

Security

We use HTTPS, secure cookies and access controls to protect your data. No online service is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to fix issues quickly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and we will highlight significant changes on the site.
